Blue Star Juniper is naturally turquoise so don’t worry about beauty with this plant. Growing to about 2’ by 2’ at maturity this will be an excellent accent piece in borders or planted near other plants to provide a popping contrast. As an evergreen, it will retain its color throughout winter too. With excellent resistance to drought and temperatures, you won’t have to worry about maintenance much. Pests and disease aren’t typically a problem either.

Little Spark Spirea is a smaller shrub, growing to about 24” tall and 30” wide. New growth starts orange before going to yellow. In summer you’ll have a bunch of beautiful pink flowers. Trim them off once they’ve faded and it will bloom again for you. Give it full sun or partial shade and this plant will do wonderfully, as it’s drought tolerant and deer resistant
London planetree is a towering species, growing up to 100 ’ tall, with an average spread of 80 ’. The bark is wonderfully unique, reminiscent of a beech tree, but with extra splashes of color. It doesn ’t mind getting wet, but only tolerates slight drought. Give it full sun and you ’ll have plenty of shade, and forage for your local critters.
Double Play Big Bang Spirea is a great flowering shrub. Give it full sun and a well-drained soil and it will do wonders. The leaves start orange in spring and transition to yellow as summer approaches, when it grows beautiful pink blooms. Growing to 3’ tall and 3’ wide this plant is great for use as a border.
