A real workhorse in the perennial border, ‘Zagreb’ will bloom from late June to late August adding color to the garden during the hottest part of the summer. Bright yellow daisy flowers with a darker yellow disk are tightly grouped above its needle-like green foliage. A compact plant that is more upright and less rounded than its more famous relative Coreopsis ‘Moonbeam’, ‘Zagreb’ is a great companion to mingle with other sun lovers since its thin foliage and constant color are make it so easy to work with. Tolerant of heat, humidity and drought, plant ‘Zagreb’ in any sunny border with well drained soil, the bigger the group you plant, the more impressive the summer show! Be sure to give it a quick shearing as flowers fade in August to promote a colorful later September rebloom!

Understanding Plant Pot Sizes
When you’re choosing plants, you’ll often see sizes listed as #1, #2, or #3 containers. These numbers refer to the volume of the pot, not the age of the plant.
#1 Pot – Holds about 1 gallon of soil. These are small starter plants, great for tight spaces or filling in around larger features.
#2 Pot – Holds about 2 gallons of soil. A medium size that balances affordability with faster establishment in the landscape.
#3 Pot – Holds about 3 gallons of soil. These larger plants give more immediate impact and tend to establish quickly.
Bigger pots generally mean more mature root systems, but the right choice depends on your project goals, timeline, and budget.
