The Chicagoland Green Boxwood is an evergreen shrub well suited for hedges. It grows moderately fast, to about 4 feet in height and 4 feet wide at maturity, which takes up to 15 years. It prefers well drained acidic soils of most kinds but can grow in slight drought and slightly alkaline conditions, with plenty of sunshine, but doesn ’t mind a bit of shade. It will provide a great splash of color in the winter months.
